The bowling alley was on the second floor.
H S Hartman was the manager/owner of the lanes per the 1937 Ives Business Directory. D B Burlingame was the manager/owner of the lanes per the 1941-42 Ives Business Directory. It is likely this location closed during World War II and reopened in the late 1940s under a new address (133 N 2nd - north entrance) instead of the original address (202 W Main - south entrance). I believe that Denzel W Burns and wife Irene Burns owned the alleys in the late 1940s. The four lanes were moved just down the street to Lander Bowl-A-Way in the summer of 1949. The Stockgrowers Bar was at this location in the 1960s. |
